Absolutely not. This course is designed for beginners. We start from the basic setup and gradually move to learning scales and songs. I will take the guesswork out of choosing the right gear, too. The most important thing you need is a passion for learning.

This was originally taught over 7 weeks, but you have access to the videos and learning materials indefinitely. Practice and learn at your own pace.

That depends. If you consider yourself an intermediate or advanced player, this is definitely NOT the class for you. This course is designed for beginners or people who are completely new to the instrument. That is, if you're still not sure how to play scales and songs in major and minor keys, how to read TAB, if you're not yet using fingerpicks, or if you can only play in the key of G. Please ask any questions you need before signing up because I'm not able to offer refunds.

Haha, of course not! BUT you will have all the tools you need to be able to understand the instrument, use a slide with good technique, and be able to play songs in major and minor keys. You'll know enough to be able to decide if you want to put in the work to become a master!

There are tons of great resources for learning Dobro! I hope you explore them all! Starting here will help you get the MOST out of the other courses you take. This course spends more time on setup, understanding the instrument, breaking down the essential foundational techniques, learning how to read TAB and (of course) learning songs too. Here, we narrow our focus to learn two songs (one major, one minor) in two different keys with lots of repetition. This sets you up to find melodies from additional songs using your ear, long after the class is over!
